i'm all twitter'd out

I’d been using my twitter a lot lately but it doesn’t really feel like my own little corner of the interwebs. Not like this. Ironic, then, that I barely used my tumblr until I got fed up with something else. Alas, I’m back and hoping to stick around for a while!

...and my new favorite thing about Independence Day?

Because we’re a library we are closed on July 4.
Because it’s on a Friday this year we got paid a day early.
Because today’s a Thursday Moe’s Tavern has karaoke.
Because we’re closed on Friday and I got paid today I can go out to the bars tonight and my drunk ass can sing to my heart’s content and I can buy all the alcohol I want.

Happy Birthday, America.

I’ve been re-reading Scott Lobdell and Chris Bachalo’s Generation X from the start and I really miss the characters, Lobdell’s writing, Bachalo’s detail storytelling, and their dynamic with one another, but I also miss a great villain that went severely underused: Emplate. That guy always creeped my shit out.
